We have a range of ways to help you with your children.
Kids Food help
During the school holidays we try to offer small children's food parcels to help out as your children are at home. This is open to anyone locally who needs it, not just those entitled to Free School Meals.
During holidays where these are unavailable, families are welcome to do an additional shop in the Hope Pantry.

Uniform and school essentials
In The Hidaway we have a huge range of brand new and pre-loved school uniform, and lots more in storage so if you can't see what you need, just ask. In addition to this, we are able to provide a limited number of small grants for other school essentials such as bags, coats, shoes and even school equipment. Just have a chat with one of our team members to access this help.
Family team support
Sometimes we all just need a little extra help, whether that's someone to moan at, get advice or learn from or just lend a helping hand. We have a dedicated family and education team which includes a dedicated worker for families, for kids, for young mums, for dads, for carers and for youths. The team can all offer 1-1 support and advice, and run a range of free courses and support groups. We even have an in-house sleep specialist! Toys
At Wood Lane we have a range of brand new children's toys to help you out at Christmas and through the year for birthdays. If you need toys for your own child's birthday, you can choose 5 toys for £5 in our store. Just contact the team to arrange a visit to the toy store.
Children's Clothing
We totally understand that clothes are expensive, and children just keep growing! We're currently working on new projects with our friends and partners to help with the cost of clothing on a long-term basis. In the meantime, if you're struggling, please make an appointment with our team to look at what emergency assistance we can provide.
